Swimming Pool Construction Shelter – Long Island
Usually, pool construction companies in the Northern and Eastern US states would stop work for 2 or 3 months each winter. Using a Fast Tent means there is no longer any ‘off-season’, allowing the swimming pool construction company to stay productive year round.

Jason’s Pools, established in 2003, are a swimming pool & masonry contractor, working throughout the Hampton Bays area of Long Island, New York. Jason’s Pools specialize in the design and construction of gunite and vinyl swimming pools.
Problem
Most customers who want a swimming pool bulding in their back yard, want the pool to be ready for the Spring, so they can use it as soon as the warm weather arrives. However, the wet weather and freezing temperatures of a typical winter in the North Eastern US states is far from ideal conditions for working with concrete and specialist coating materials.
Solution
Jason’s Pools had tried building frames and using tarps / sheeting to provide site protection during the winter but these structures were time consuming to build. Njordair supplied three of our 16’ long x 33’ wide (5m long x 10m wide) Fast Tent modules. Since the modular work tents are designed to be joined together if required, this created a dry and temperature controlled working area 48’ long x 33’ wide so that the entire pool could be constructed inside the tent.
Because we were custom building these tents, we were able to customise the colour and branding to match the customer’s ‘corporate identity’.
The Njordair pool construction tent allows Jason’s Pools to work through the seasons and cold weather doesn’t delay the completion of construction projects. Whilst other companies have to wait until the spring for the ground to unthaw, Jason’s Pools gets a head start on competitors.
Being able to take on more work in the winter months, creates revenue at a time when normally they are not working. Some pool building companies will charge a premium for this winter work, so not only are they adding extra projects, they are then able to charge more money to get this work complete. The winter premium charge covers the cost of purchasing the tent.
