Can inflatable buildings be joined together?

The Njordair Fast Tent system is modular. This means that individual buildings can be joined together to create much larger, interconnected structures. This flexibility in configuration is a key advantage of inflatable buildings. The ability to connect multiple Fast Tent modules allows for the creation of larger spaces or customized layouts to suit your needs. The joining of inflatable buildings is achieved through two alternative methods.

In certain applications, such as mobile field hospitals and military shelters, tunnel-like connectors can be used to join inflatable buildings. These connectors provide a covered passage between the structures, allowing easy access while maintaining a continuous and enclosed space. Tunnel connectors are most utilised with sealed air inflatable buildings.

Dutch Lacing Connectors

Most commonly, our inflatable structures are designed with dutch lacing connection panels that enable two or more modules to be seamlessly joined to one another. This method allows for a secure and airtight connection.

Here’s a general overview of how dutch lacing is used to join our inflatable buildings.

• Lay the uninflated tents next to each other.

• Locate the loose rope on one of the sides of the lacing. This rope is the END the lacing system, and is used to tie the last loop to prevent it from unbinding.

• Start connecting the Dutch lacing system from the other side of the loose rope.

• If you have difficulties inserting the loops into the eyelets you may use an additional thinner rope to pull it through. This usually requires 2 persons.
